We have designed a new product that is machined out of a tough and durable plastic which is impervious to both dry erase and most permanent markers. The Rack Writer™ fits into a single or double rack unit of space in your standard 19 inch EIA racking. The Rack Writer™ is attractive, durable, and simple to use. Stop writing on pieces of tape stuck to the faces of your expensive equipment, simply install a Rack Writer™ above or below the unit giving you or your technicians ample room to write the information necessary for its care and use. |

WORKS WITH ALL TYPES OF DRY ERASE MARKERS
Rack Writer™ has been tested with all common dry erase markers. Best performance is achieved with the use of quality low odor dry erase markers. Dry erase markers write on and wipe clean with a dry cloth. It is ideal for writing frequently changing values such as start and stop times during the recording and editing process. PERMANENT MARKERSharpie® brand and similar permanent markers write on smoothly, are highly visible, and durable. They are ideal if the face may get brushed or wiped. They will not smear or wipe off accidentally. Removal of these types of markers is simple. Cover the permanent marker with dry erase and the solvents in the dry erase marker will activate the permant marker ink. You can then wipe the Rack Writer clean with a clean dry cloth. |

COMBINING DRY ERASE AND PERMANENT MARKER
By combining both permanent and dry erase markers it is easy to keep track of the frequently changing values associated with your most complex rack mounted equipment. Reproduce the layout of buttons, knobs switches, or digital displays with a permanent marker onto the face of the Rack Writer, leaving room in the center of the knob or display to write its preferred value. Simply write in the values with your dry erase marker. When these values need to be changed simply wipe the face with a clean dry cloth and only the dry erase marker will be removed, leaving the equipment's layout intact for reuse (unless you covered the permanent marker with dry erase when you wrote in the values). If the equipment changes or you move the Rack Writer simply cover over the permanent marker with dry erase and wipe them off. Large quantities or dryed on permanent marker will wipe clean with a common household alcohol swab (70% Isopropyl Alcohol). Do not leave the faceplate soaking in alcohol, this may damage the writing surface. CAUTION ALCOHOL IS EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. AVOID METAL RACK SCREWSWe supply four (10-32) nylon mounting screws for a reason. Please use the enclosed plastic screws to fasten the faceplate to your rack rails. Normal metal rack screws are designed to hold heavy components. The temptation is just too great to over tighten these metal screws. Over tightening of metal screws may cause the face to crack or chip. If you do manage somehow to chip or crack the panel the pieces may be sharp. Human flesh is no match for sharp pieces of plastic, please use caution. ALWAYS GROUND YOURSELF BEFORE TOUCHING YOUR ELECTRONICSClean the faceplate only with a soft dry paper towel or cotton cloth (Do not use the panties that are thrown on stage). Use if silk or some man made materials if rubbed vigorously on the faceplate could build up a small electrical charge that could be hazardous to sensitive electrical components. |

If you are paying PayPal by check, shipping will be delayed until your funds clear (usually less than 10 days). I use U.S. Postal Service ground shipping first class or Priority mail. Sales to Canada will be sent First Class International. Canadian customers please include your Phone number on the order form for customs documents. DAMAGED MERCHANDISEYour order is carefully checked and packed before shipping. If an item arrives damaged, email us as soon as possible and we will assist you in the return and get you a replacement as soon as possible. Items not packed as originally received or missing parts may not qualify for damage protection. Please be advised that return fees may apply if damage is not a result of shipping. GENERAL RETURNSIf you are unsatisfied for any reason with a product you receive we will gladly accept the item back within 15 days for a refund. All items returned to us for a refund will be credited back in the form of the original payment. All credits and refunds are less original shipping and handling fees. |
